I remember this. Was in the military at the time. I remember telling my commanding officer it was a great day for justice.

She wasn’t scared of their asses, that is for certain, and in all the terror they reigned, a lil Black lady was the one who kicked their asses!

I knew about the initial lynching case of Michael but never knew the legal wins his mother was able to get. No substitute for losing her son but it lead to a much needed legal precedent. This country is still ravaged by white supremacy and it’s just so hard on the soul to continually witness, day after day. Thank you for sharing those additional resources!

I occurred when I was a very young adult, like maybe 20 and I’ve done my job because I know you’re going to write some 🔥 when you get out the rabbit hole!
