Do you know statistics maintained by Tuskegee University certify that during the 84 years consisting of calendar years 1882 - 1968:
Four thousand seven hundred forty-three men, women, & children were lynched;
Seventy-nine percent of lynching activity occurred across the Southern states;
Thirty-four percent of lynching activity occurred in the states of Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas;
All lynching victims in the states of Arizona, Idaho, Maine, Nevada, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wisconsin were identified as ‘white’;
The states of California, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah, Washington State, and Wyoming recorded more lynchings of persons who identified as ‘white’ than persons who identified as ‘Black’;
No lynching activity was recorded in the states of Alaska, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island; or
Statistics maintained by the FBI verify that in 2019 there were:
7,314 reported criminal incidents motivated by bias toward race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender and/or gender identity including 51 murders, 30 rapes, and 3 offenses of human trafficking; or
Although 52% of the identifiable terrorists committing such acts were ‘white,’ it must be noted that the racial identity of the victims consisted of:
39.7% Black;
8.4% Latin-X;
4.9% Native American;
2.5% Asian; and
2% Arab/Middle Eastern?
"Lynch Law" refers to a self-proclaimed court that sentences someone without due process.
Even though there were 537 fewer attempted lynchings of minorities in 2019 than there were in the entire 86-year period documented by Tuskegee University, it must be noted that 537 is a horrible credit score.
What's disturbing is how people came out in droves to watch lynchings. They sent postcards of lynched people. Sick.
Thank you for your persistence.
